ICT celebrates prestigious recognition as Microsoft Partner of the Year

The Partner of the Year Awards program celebrates partners who deliver exemplary solutions built on Microsoft Cloud and platforms

Doha, Qatar, November 2024: Information & Communication Technology (ICT) – a member of East Gulf Group – proudly hosted a momentous celebration at its newly inaugurated headquarters in Doha to mark its recognition as Microsoft Partner of the Year. The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Lana Khalaf, General Manager of Microsoft Qatar, accompanied by members of her leadership team.

The ceremony included a comprehensive presentation, a guided tour of ICT’s cutting-edge facilities, including its state-of-the-art SOC room, delightful refreshments, and a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony followed by a group photo session to commemorate the occasion.

In his keynote speech, Jihad Abi Saleh, President of East Gulf Group, praised the extraordinary achievements of ICT. He emphasized that this esteemed recognition serves as a cornerstone for future milestones, bolstered by ICT’s strong partnership with Microsoft.

Jawad Alam, General Manager of ICT, shared his vision for the company’s evolution from a traditional system integrator to a digital transformation leader. He highlighted ICT’s focus on key areas, including Cybersecurity, Data and AI, as part of its commitment to fostering innovation, enhancing customer experiences and delivering transformative solutions. He further reaffirmed ICT’s dedication to talent development and industry expertise to meet the dynamic demands of the digital age.

Back in July 2024 when the award was announced, Microsoft recognized ICT for a standout accomplishment: “Information and Communication Technology – using Microsoft Azure OpenAI – developed an AI Virtual BOT and a smart assistant to facilitate government-citizen interaction for the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.”
